Thanks to a morning birth, Lisa and Samantha were able to meet their new sister later that same day! There’s nothing like telling your 3 year old you’re going to the hospital because it’s time for this baby to get out, and then producing results just hours later!
Lisa and Sam were smitten, and both wanted to take turns holding her right away. 
Oh, and presents were involved. (Lisa was kind of a train wreck at the hospital when Sam was born, so we came fully prepared this time.) Snacks and toys were given – all so that this would be an exciting and positive time for them. And the girls came with gifts to welcome Evelyn – a little lamb lovey and some pacifiers. According to Lisa, that’s all babies really need anyway.
And I thought it was sweet that my family got to hold Baby Evelyn when she was just hours old!
