We finally decided to be proactive in baby-proofing our home.
We deconstructed our stone, death-trap coffee table and replaced it with a nice, soft ottoman! (Made possible by Target.)
An added bonus: it has storage!
We put door latches on all our kitchen and bathroom cabinets to keep Lisa out of all the poison we store there. And by we, I of course mean the person in this marriage that is not me. Matt did all the hard work of measuring and drilling and measuring again and screwing the silly things into all our cabinet doors.
I showed my support by taking pictures of all his hard work protecting our baby.
As a final touch, we put some squishy corner cover things on our side table. It just begs you to trip and fall into it just to experience it's wonderful squishyness.
Eventually, we'll need to buy a gate to put at the bottom of the stairs. We're trying to hold off as long as possible... but we know it won't be long before Lisa's crawling around.
