Lisa has really had a great first birthday experience! We celebrated as a family on Tuesday, her actual birthday. The pictures tell most of the story:
As soon as Matt got home from work, we jumped right into opening presents. Almost literally. Lisa was thrilled so many people sent her boxes! So perfect for climbing on!

The loot:

She really did love all her gifts!! She's been having so much fun playing with all her new toys everyday since! Thank you to all our sweet family for everything!!
After opening gifts, we headed out to Red Robin for dinner. It's such a fun birthday place. We had a wonderful waitress who made it a really great experience for Lisa. She brought just a few people to sing (not too loudly) and Red Robin himself who gave Lisa her first ice cream sunday!
She was in awe of the huge red bird.

(Confession: Matt & I took bets on if she would cry or not. But she did so great! She was very serious at first - taking it all in. But she loved the clapping, and by the end of the song she was smiling! And I cannot stress enough - completely in awe of the bird!)
Oh, and she also became a big fan of ice cream. Big surprise, huh?!

After dinner, we went to the store to get ready for her party on Saturday! Here she is having fun trying on different party hats.
