This July 4th we went to a BBQ at a friend's. We hung out with amazing families, ate too much food, and Lisa had a blast with her first sparkler & trampoline experience!
Even Sam got an extra dose of lovin'.
Lisa had a blast running around outside. She wanted to jump on the trampoline with the big kids SO badly... and when it was finally free, Matt took her for some special jumping fun!
She LOVED it - and couldn't stop giggling!

Right before we left (and right before a huge thunderstorm moved in), someone started handing out sparklers to the kids. Lisa and Nate waited patiently for theirs.
Matt and I were surprised she even took it. She's always been a little nervous around fire.

But once she decided it was fun, couldn't wait to do it again!
The subsequent thunderstorm put an end to the firework watching we were contemplating. We'll do it next year, and let this year be the year of the sparklers!
