18 Months

Last week my baby, my firstborn, turned 18 months old.

I can't believe how quickly time has flown! It seems like just yesterday we brought Lisa home from the hospital, and here we are, about to bring her sister home!

She is growing more and more independent each day, and gets frustrated when she can't do things correctly the first time. (SO reminds me of myself!)

Her new favorite word is 'this' and she'll say it when pointing to something she's interested in, wants, or wants us to do. She tilts her head in the cutest way, points, and asks, 'this'? this? this?' It still hasn't gotten old to hear.

She looks forward to playing with her friends, and still loves music, dancing, and twirling around.

Another favorite activity is cleaning. Believe it or not, you can give this girl a washcloth and ask her to go clean, and she'll spend hours wiping down anything she sees! It has actually come in handy when we're out and need to keep her occupied - just hand her a kleenex and she's a happy camper!

We had her 18 month well check a few days ago, and she now weighs 21.7 pounds and is 32 inches tall. She's still in the 30 percentile, and her doctor is happy with how she's growing and developing.

We love being Lisa's parents! She really is our 'bundle of joy'! And we're looking forward to seeing her grow and take on a new role as 'big sister' soon!
