Wednesday morning we were released from the hospital and able to go home.

Here's Samantha in her going home outfit and the little doll that Lisa brought for her! Thanks Tiffany - great idea!

All bundled up and snug at home. It was around 35 degrees outside that day!

The Carney's dropped Lisa off after we got home, and got a little preview of what they're going to have in just a few more months!

Lisa spent the remainder of the day exploring the baby. For example:
Removing strange new object from Sam's mouth:

Realizing it's a pacifier:

Putting it back. It took her a few tries, but she eventually got it in!

Lisa's had a few melt-downs, we're sure in conjunction with being back home and re-affirming her place in the family. But she's also done a great job adjusting to our time being shared with Samantha. She has learned how to say 'baby'. When Samantha is sleeping, she'll come up to her and whisper 'shhh' with her finger over her mouth. Of course, it's really quite loud! And we're also working on how to touch gently. Some efforts are better than others.
We've loved having these few days before Christmas to be together. To adjust. And to sleep when we can!
